Dillon Ahearn is a Philadelphia-based mixed-media painter working primarily with oils, acrylics and found materials. Inspired by nature and everyday found objects and textures, Ahearn has dabbled in art since childhood before falling in love with oil painting in high school. Ahearn uses shape, color and texture to make work jump out at the viewer, toeing the line between 2D art and sculpture. Ahearn uses found materials like paper and string to bring 3D elements that interact uniquely with the bold colors and natural texture of their pieces.
